Rabbi Chalom from the Chabad House at San Diego State University is an on campus ministry blessing Jewish students. It has recently been rocked by the unnecessary hateful attacks from Hamas and student unrest. We will hear first hand how they are dealing with this and hear about one of his own family members that perished October 7th at the outdoor concert in Israel.

Mike and his wife Joanie have been married for over four decades and have four adult children. Kristen is an alumna of the Claremont Graduate School, David is a graduate of Hillsdale College and Yale Law School, and Matthew is a graduate of Hillsdale College, and Christopher has a career in the supermarket industry.

David V. Daubenspeck grew up in a small city in western lower Michigan. At age 16 he was blessed with an opportunity to serve as a part-time radio news reporter and announcer, where he continued working on through his college years as he majored in communications and focused on biblical studies. It was during these formative years that his interest in political/social issues from a Christian vantage point began to take shape. David’s knowledge and worldview were further refined while participating in a National Association of Evangelicals chapter as part of helping grow the ministry of K-LOVE radio on the West Coast. His ability to understand and apply biblical principles in relation to evangelism, disciple-making, and addressing social concern issues developed as he served in various pastoral roles in northern and southern California and Minnesota. Since his days studying at Hope College, David has been involved in or leading some kind of small (growth) group Bible study throughout most of his adult life.
